Conversion Rate Calculator 🔒 Your data never leaves your browser.

Calculate conversion rate, or the conversions needed for a target rate.

About this tool

This conversion rate calculator works in both directions. Enter conversions and visitors to get the conversion rate, or switch to reverse mode and enter a target rate plus a visitor count to see exactly how many conversions you would need to reach it. The maths is deliberately simple and transparent: conversion rate is conversions ÷ visitors × 100, and the reverse mode just solves that same equation for conversions. "Conversion" is left generic on purpose — it could be a sale, a signup, a form submission, a download, or whatever single action a site defines as its goal.

What counts as a "good" conversion rate varies enormously by industry, traffic source and funnel stage — an e-commerce checkout, a SaaS free-trial signup and a lead-gen form each have very different typical ranges. This tool stays neutral on purpose: it computes the raw ratio and leaves you to compare it against whatever benchmark fits your own funnel, rather than labelling any number good or bad. Everything runs locally in your browser — the figures you enter never leave your device.

Frequently asked questions

My conversion rate seems really low compared to what I've read online — is something wrong?

Not necessarily — published "average" conversion rates vary wildly depending on industry, traffic source (paid vs. organic vs. social), device, and how "conversion" is defined (a purchase is a much bigger ask than an email signup). E-commerce averages are often quoted around 1-3%, while a simple lead-gen form can see 10%+ — comparing your number to a generic industry average is far less useful than tracking your own rate over time and testing changes against your own baseline.
